Take Your Seat: Women of Color Leading in the Boardroom is a two-part virtual training for women of color who are curious about nonprofit board service or ready to step into board leadership. Nonprofit boards help shape the direction of organizations and communities, yet women of color remain underrepresented in these spaces. In this interactive training,
Christal M. Cherry, The Board Pro, will walk through how nonprofit boards actually work, what board members do, and how you can prepare for board service. You’ll learn how to build a strong board profile, understand the role of governance and fundraising, and use your voice, networks, and leadership to support causes you care about.
