A Holiday Letter from the Board Chair to the Board

Updated: Aug 14, 2020

Dear Fellow Board Member,

This is my favorite time of the year! I am eager to express gratitude to all who serve and make our world a better place.

Thank you for joining us on our journey in 2019 to move the needle for abc.org. As your board chair I am proud of what we have accomplished together. Our well-rounded board of visionaries, ambassadors, and donors have contributed to an 18% increase in the number of clients we serve.

As we celebrate this milestone and prepare to close out the year, it’s the perfect time to reiterate the importance of 100% giving from all members. Your financial investment is a clear demonstration of your commitment to our mission and impact in our community and the world.

A unified all-giving-board is often the basis for grant requests, allows our revenue budget to be spread out more evenly, and sends a resounding message that we are mission centered and steadfast about the financial health of this great organization. This public commitment and demonstration of support from leadership can be a motivator for others to join us and give.

As we move into 2020, we are empowered to chart a path forward by deciding how we will grow and expand abc.org to new heights. We will partner with the Executive Director, set broad fundraising goals, and execute the fundraising strategy from our development team.

Before then, there’s still time to “move and shake” in 2019! By fulfilling your pledge and or stretching to make an additional gift, we are poised to improve our programming and provide bright futures for those we serve. Thank you for your commitment to make it happen.

Happy Holidays!

Ian Ludlow, PhD, Board Chair
